A good rule of thumb is you want the snowboard to fall somewhere between the tip of your chin and the tip of your nose. So before you convert inches to centimeters, measure from the ground up to where you want the board to fall (long boards = less responsive/more carve, short boards = more responsive/less carve at high speeds).
